Client Installation StepsThree different install methods are described below. Select the installation method that corresponds to the distribution previously downloaded.
Client installation instructions assume that the full distribution which includes a JRE will be used. WindowsWindows installation should be smooth and simple. Just execute the agiletrack-setup-1.0.0.exe installer. The installer will install all necessary software in a user selected directory, and create shortcuts as desired.
After installing, launch AgileTrack using a created shortcut and follow the configuration steps that follow. LinuxDistributions for Linux are bundled in a compressed file. To install, just extract the downloaded agiletrack-linux-1.0.0.tar.gz file into the desired installation parent directory, e.g. /usr/local/. Optionally, after extraction, change directory to the extracted directory and run one of the installation scripts.
After running the desired install script, assuming either of those directories is in the PATH, AgileTrack should be runnable by simply calling agiletrack. If no install script is used, the AgileTrack startup script (agiletrack) can still be run directly if it is launched from the exracted AgileTrack directory. At this point, shortcuts to the application can be created as desired in the user's environment to the launch one of the executables mentioned above. After setup, launch AgileTrack and proceed to the configuration steps that follow. ManualThe agiletrack-client-1.0.0.zip and agiletrack-client-1.0.0.tar.gz distributions contains the libraries required to run agiletrack, as well as some reference scripts, but may require some manual system configuration before being able to run it. ConfigurationThen, launch AgileTrack and follow the configuration steps that follow. |
