I haven't been able to reproduce this problem. Could you please give more information about your configuration—AgileTrack version, operating system version, Java version, etc. The current version of AgileTrack is 0.8a. In older versions, there was a known password problem but it's been fixed for a while now.
A log file should exist on both the server and client, though it doesn't sound like a logged error is happening, so probably nothing is in the log. I've added some additional logging with will be included in the 0.8b client when it is released in a few days. If nothing else, when 0.8b is release, try connecting again and any errors should end up in the client log.
Using Webstart to launch the client is a unique approach, but if you've been able to connect as admin, there is no reason another user shouldn't work.
Has anyone else encountered such a problem?
