[Topic] V1 Task bar icon

Hi, I installed the V1 over the 0.8d version and it runs ok.
However, now I seem to have lost the taskbar icon, and when I close it the java task does not seem to shut down in winxp task manager and I have to kill the task to restart it.

Properties of the agiletrack taskbar are set to always show, but nothing shows.

Any clues/suggestions to try?

cheers,
paul

Furthermore, the old 0.8d client works as per normal.

I am also seeing the same behavior.

I had a different problem installing over an older installation of AgileTrack. The solution was to uninstall the old version and install a fresh copy. It should work just a well to install in a clean location I think. I've successfully run it in Windows 2003 and Windows XP when installing from the full installer. Maybe the installer needs to be fixed to clean up previous installations before installing on top of them.

I did'nt use the installer tho…I already have java installed, so just unzipped it and ran it. 0.8d still works fine, but V1 exhibits some strange behaviour even just running straight from the unzip.

I verified the problem with the zip distribution. It caused because the client now dynamically loads all of the jars in the lib directory. Previously they were are specified on the classpath explicitly. The zip distribution contain two jars that are used for the system tray—one for Windows, the other for Linux. Loading both of them together is causing the problem. The quick fix for this is to go to the lib directory and delete jdic-linux.jar. That should take care of it. Thanks for the information.

ty – works for me!
Like the additions to V1 with projects/releases/iterations etc.

Was not sure if this was a bug which is why I posted in the forum.
Bit of a fuzzy one.
