Is it possible to delete comments from issues?

Right now comments cannot be deleted. What are people's thoughts?

I see comments as a type of conversation. It has an opening question or initial subject and a sequence of additions (hopefully a list of relevant comments).

The conversation would be a different conversation, if some of the comments made were removed or edited or swapped around.

Mishaps in the comments are natural while these mishaps follow those of a conversation e.g. if I recon my last comment should be clarified, I clarify it with a new one.

It might be acceptable that an admin is able to insert or replace comments in very seldom situations e.g. with flame wars or the like.
