[Topic] Home Tab

Can somebody please explain the home tab to me? There are some blank windows on top left and bottom right, and the bottome left is a table with blank values for id, message, and some variously colored clocks.

I don't think it does anything too useful right now. In the beginning it was intended to be something of a dashboard that would give an overview of progress in iterations, changes to issues, etc., but no work has been done on it.

I still think it should be something like that, but it just isn't yet. I'd like it to be something of a source for useful reports. It's on the list as needing to be updated pretty soon, but I'm not clear yet on what to put there.

What is useful will vary, but I'd like it to show progress, maybe day-by-day changes, time summaries, breakdowns by project, etc.

What kinds of things would people want to see?

Sounds like a great idea to me. After I realized I had a reserved word issue I fixed some data in the database (and enabled iteration functionality) and now the top left displays something that looks like the iteration graph chart. I also made the window very big, and I see that the ID is the userid and the message appears to be what issue the user is currently looking at. I still don't have enough data in the system to be sure what the clocks indicate though. The red one appears to be (total/user/issue?) time estimate, the green one appears to be (?) time actual, and I have no idea what the blue one is.

As for what to see, maybe designate a Query as the "default" query for a user, and display the results of that?

I was just perusing the issues and I would suggest that issue 344 (time spent overview) would work nicely on the Home tab.

you can get some ideas on what to put there from TargetProcess (http://www.targetprocess.com/agile_tour_20/agile_tour.asp)
