[Topic] Issues: Iteration missing

I don't know whether it is a bug or a feature: In the "Issues" tab I can't find my first (completed) iteration in the iterations-combobox. Is it missing because it is finished?

The iterations combobox only includes iterations. This is by design and it's meant to prevent the iteration list from growing too large. To view the issue list for completed iterations, the best way is to go to the Iterations tab and select the iteration in question, and then view the issues list there. You could also select "Iteration Tree" from the main Issues tab and it will list all iterations where you can browse through the tree.

Keep in mind that if an issue has been marked closed—i.e. the "Verified" box has been checked—then it will disappear from the issue list after a week. Therefore, past iterations would often be empty. The way to display old issues in that case is to go to the Search tab and create a search to show old issues. You could create a search and call it "All Issues", and not select any filter options. Then all possible issues would be shown in the issue view, including old completed ones.

Hope that makes sense. If it's desirable to have the default issue list work differently, I could add some system configuration options to accomodate that. Just let me know what's preferred.

I would prefer having a checkbox directly above the issue list, labeled "show old issues" that I could enable only when needed, rather than having to go thru the system config process…

But it's a matter of taste :o)
