To add notes and additional information, the issue description could be edited, but it is often better to use comments to add notes because comments provide chronology to the life of an issue by storing the date, time, and creator of each comment.

Comments can be added to stories, tasks, defects, and other records. To add a comment, first open an issue or any other record. Then, go to the Comments tab. An edit area is available at the bottom of the tab where new comments can be entered. Simply type the comment in the text area and the "Save" button for the record will become enabled. Click "Save" to add the comment.
