1.3. CommunicationWhile generally shying away from formal documentation and detailed design documentation, agile methodologies focus heavily on personal knowledge, communication, and decision making. Daily status/planning meetings are often used. Though face-to-face communication is highly effective, it has the weakness of being forgotten later. Various forms of electronic communication offer alternatives, such as telephone, email, instant messaging, etc. AgileTrack does not propose to relate to any of the best forms of communication, as they are vital, but it offers additional options, mostly geared toward quickly making notes so as to not forget significant thoughts or discoveries. AgileTrack records all have a change history, and comment logs. It also offers the unique capability of communicating tasks being actively worked on if developers use the tool actively during development. |
